Christine was born on September 29, 1949, in Red Oak, Iowa, the daughter of Robert D. and Betty J. (Alexander) Enarson. She attended schools in Topeka, Kansas, and Red Oak, Iowa, where she met and married her first husband Dale Myers unto which her two children Tina and Anthony were born.
Christine's professional life was varied; she worked in healthcare facilities as a cook and provided caregiving to those with special needs. She achieved her long time dream of becoming a massage therapist after moving to the hill country of Texas. Her culinary skills led her to predominantly work in cooking throughout her career. At one point, she served as a private chef and massage therapist for the businessman and cattle breeder, L.D. Brinkman, a role she greatly enjoyed.
In the late 1990s, Christine moved to Imperial, Nebraska, where she met Merle Poppe. They were married in 2003 at the Wesleyan Church in Imperial and settled in Grant. Christine was known for her kindred spirit and sassy streak. Her profound love for animals saw her caring for an array of pets, from ferrets and skunks to raccoons and a boa constrictor, alongside more conventional dogs and cats. She was also an avid gardener, cultivating nearly 100 different varieties of plants and flowers at her home.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Enarson and Betty Jones; step-father, Daryl Jones; parents-in-law, Orville and Marilyn Poppe; brother, Stephen Enarson; and great-grandson, Brenton Wright.
