THELMA GRACE MOSER, 96 of Grant, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Golden Ours Convalescent Home.

Thelma was born November 22, 1921, at Sarben, Nebraska to Ray and Alice (McConnell) Kirkpatrick. She grew up in Sarben, where she attended country school. Thelma went on to attend Paxton High School before she graduated from Perkins County High School in 1939.

Thelma joined the U.S. Navy following high school and then attended Hunter College in New York. She later transferred to Cleveland, where she served as a recruiter for the Navy. Following her discharge from the service, Thelma worked at IBM.

On February 10, 1944, Thelma married Harland Moser in Albuquerque, NM. The couple made their home all over the United States due to Harland's civil engineering job at Gulf Oil. Their stops included Michigan, Kansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Gretna, Louisiana. After Harlan's death, Thelma returned to live in Grant.

Thelma was proud of her military service and was a member of the Grant American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Grant United Methodist Church.

Thelma was prededed in death by her parents, her husband Harland, three brothers; Glen, Melvin, and Vernon Kirkpatrick.

Survivors include her children, Mr. W. Dennis Moser of Elkhart IN, with his daughters Jessica and Brittney and her children Donnie and Dylan, and Dr. J. David Moser of Orlando, FL with his wife Van and daughter McCallen and also 2 of Thelma's siblings, Vance Kirkpatrick and Carol Burnham, both of Grant; along with many other relatives and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

A memorial has been established in her memory for later designation by the family. Condolences may be shared at bullocklongfuneralhome.com.

Private family graveside services will be Monday, August 19, 2019, at 10:00 am at the Grant Fairview Cemetery.
