LINDA TOEWS, 72 of Madrid, NE, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 at the Perkins County Hospital.
Linda was born March 29, 1943 in McPherson County, Kansas to Aaron and Hannah (Koehn) Becker. She attended school in Vernon County, Missouri.
On February 4, 1962, Linda was united in marriage to Walter Toews at Rich Hill, Missouri. The couple resided in Kansas and Missouri before moving to the Perkins County area in 1981, where they lived the rest of their married lives. Their union was blessed with 4 children.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jay Dean.
Survivors include her husband Walter Toews of Madrid; 4 daughters, Phyllis (John Mark) Koehn of Montezuma, KS, Carol (Arlen) Friesen of Bloomfield, IA, Twila (David) Schmidt of Ronan, MT, Karen (Clayton) Giesbrecht of Grant; 15 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Betty (Kenneth) Koehn of Rich Hill, MO; brother, L. John (Marlene) Becker of Walker, MO; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials are suggested to the Church of God in Christ Mennonite General Mission Board in Linda's memory.
Services will be on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 10:30 AM (MST) at the Golden Plains Mennonite Church west of Madrid. Burial will be in the Madrid Cemetery.
Bullock-Long Funeral Home of Grant is in charge of arrangements.
