EVERETT D. KIDD, 95 of Elsie, NE, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Orchard Park Health Care Center in Centennial, CO.
Everett was born January 31, 1921 at Shickley, Nebraska to Paul and Ollie (Robinson) Kidd. He attended school in the Elsie area.
As a young man, Everett worked in construction and in the Wallace Lumber Yard. November 17, 1942, Everett married Evelyn Robertson. Their union was blessed with 1 daughter, Judy. Everett eventually took a job in sales for the Henkle & Joyce Tool Company. Everett traveled near and far, selling tools and making friends. When his wife Evelyn's health began to decline, Everett took a job selling cars that would keep him closer to home. In 2005, Everett moved to the Denver area, where he lived at Orchard Park.
Everett was a very personable man, and made many friends over his years in traveling sales. Everett was an excellent cook, and enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Everett was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; son-in-law, Larry Littman; and 2 nephews, Keith and Ervin Harris.
Survivors include his daughter, Judy Littman of Aurora, CO; 2 grandchildren, Kelley (Andrew) Harris of Centennial, CO and David (Jennifer) Littman of Mansfield, TX; 5 great grandchildren, Mason, Harris, Tate, Cecilee & Reese Littman; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established in his memory. Condolences may be shared at bullocklongfuneralhome.com, where the service will be streamed live for those unable to attend.
Services will be on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 10am at the Bullock-Long Funeral Home in Grant with John Long officiating. Burial will be in the Wallace MorningView Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
Bullock-Long Funeral Home of Grant is in charge of arrangements.
