Korey Keith Josjor was born on February 28, 1984 in Ogallala. He was the second of three children born to Michael and Catherine Ogg Josjor.

He grew up in the Madrid and Ogallala communities before moving to Kearney in 1998. He attended high school in Kearney, graduating from Kearney High School in 2003. He moved to Grant in 2008 and began working for Valley Pro Irrigation in 2009. He was married to Heather Lewis on June 16, 2009 in Grant. He died at his home in Grant on Sunday, October 23, 2011. He had reached the age of 27.

Korey was an outdoorsman. He always enjoyed fishing and really appreciated making a hunting trip to Canada. He loved nature as it stood. He took great pride in his work at Valley Pro and was a valued employee. He often commented there was no other job he wanted to have. Korey enjoyed watching his favorite racing and sports teams on the television. He watched the Nebraska football team in victory last weekend against Minnesota. Most of all, Korey loved spending time with his wife and children. He appreciated seeing friends and family and always had a big smile for them.

He is survived by those he dearly loved; his wife, Heather; two sons - Dakota Josjor and Anthony Uptergrove and one daughter - Mia Uptergrove; his father - Mike (Sharee) Josjor of Kearney and his mother - Cathy (Damon) Medina of Madrid; four brothers - Dustin Michael Josjor of Minden, Bryan (Brandi) Josjor of Kearney, Dustin Lee (Tammy) Josjor of Lincoln, Brandon Josjor of Kearney; one sister - Haylee Mason of Kearney; two grandmothers - Phyllis Reed of Ogallala and Donna Weaver-Smith of Grand Island; other relatives and special friends including his employers - Tom and Sue Kimball and the crew at Valley Pro Irrigation.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 27, at 10:30 a.m. at the Grant Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Russ Gaar officiating. Burial will be in the Ogallala Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the family.

Bullock-Long Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
