Kenneth Lee was born on April 27, 1921 southeast of Madrid, Nebraska. He was the second of six children born to Dewey and Lillie Kerchner Lee. Kenny attended country school and later went into Madrid where he graduated from Madrid High School in 1939.

Kenny was married to Eris Beck on December 31, 1941 in Elsie. They farmed their entire married life and lived in Nebraska and later Otis, Colorado for 15 years. They moved to a farm northwest of Grant in 1967 and to their farm home east of Grant in 1973 where he lived until April of this year when he moved to the Golden Ours Convalescent Home. He had been transferred to the Perkins County Community Hospital last week where he died on Saturday evening, August 27, 2011. He had reached the age of 90. Kenny was a member of the Grant Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister - Evelyn, three brothers - Dale, Harold, and Bernard. Kenny is survived by his wife, Eris; two sons - Dennis (Janet) of Colorado Springs and Leon of Grant; 9 daughters - Myrna (Coley) Powell of San Luis Obispo, California, Charlotte (Walt) Arnold of Lake Wales Florida, Cheryl (Bob) Nollett of Ogallala, Karen (Steve) Aten of Hays Kansas, Martha Granados and Kathy Lee - both of Omaha, Cindy Schneider of Enid Oklahoma, Lynnette (Mark) Mickelson of Shawnee Oklahoma and Tammy (Bill) Reznicek of Bentonville Arkansas; 21 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; one brother - Theron; other relatives and friends.

Rosary will be recited on Monday, August 29, at 7:30 p.m. at the Grant Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 30, at 10:30 a.m. at the Mother of Sorrows Church with Father Mark Pfeiffer officiating. Burial in the Grant Cemetery.
